Woo Eunjoo interprets the soft, rounded silhouette of Joseon-period moon jars through a contemporary sensibility. In Distortion, vertical lines are added to the moon jar's round form, creating a dialogue between straight lines and curves. The straight, incised lines appear to bend along the jar's curved surface, accentuating its round shape. Repeated at regular intervals, these straight lines envelop the rounded form, evoking the waxing and waning of the moon and its recurring cycle.

The smooth, soft surface further brings to mind the moon softly illuminating the night sky. The moon, rising unchanged through the ages, invites us to imagine that people who lived on this land a hundred or a thousand years ago gazed upon the very same moon, creating a quiet sense of connection across time.
