이 작품은 생명력과 움직임으로 가득한 구름의 이미지와, 서로 갈라지고 얽히며 흐르는 계곡과 시냇물, 강과 같은 물줄기의 이미지를 하나의 화면 안에 결합한 작업입니다. 정천양 작가는 이러한 자연의 형상을 회화적으로 풀어내며, 작품 안에서 서로 다른 차원의 대화를 만들어냅니다.
먼저 작품의 각 부분은 서로 다른 조형 언어와 색채, 질감을 통해 감각적인 대비를 이룹니다. 동시에 작품을 만드는 과정에서는 작가의 통제와 재료가 만들어내는 우연이 서로 충돌합니다. 작가는 이 두 요소가 만나 만들어내는 긴장을 작업의 중요한 부분으로 바라봅니다. 이러한 과정을 통해 작품은 단순한 자연의 재현을 넘어, 개인과 자연 사이에서 형성되는 생명력 있는 정신적 풍경을 드러냅니다.

This work brings together, within a single composition, the image of clouds full of vitality and movement and the image of valleys, streams, and rivers that split apart, intertwine, and flow. Zheng Chenyang renders these natural forms in a painterly way, creating within the work a dialogue between different dimensions.
First, each part of the work forms a sensory contrast through its own formal language, color, and texture. At the same time, in the process of making the work, his control and the chance effects produced by the material collide with each other. He regards the tension created where these two elements meet as an important part of the work. Through this process, the piece goes beyond a simple representation of nature to reveal a vivid, spiritual landscape formed between the individual and nature.
In this way, different materials and methods of production create contrast within a single work while still coming together in harmony. Through this, he captures, within one landscape, the flow and vitality of nature together with the relationship between control and chance that arises in the process of making.
