중국 전통의상을 입은 여인과 바비인형, 예수와 존 레논이 오버랩되고 영어와 광둥어, 그리고 이진법의 숫자들이 섞여 표면을 장식하고 있습니다. 중국과 캐나다, 미국을 오가며 두 가지 언어로 살았던 호신잉의 개인적 경험이 반영된 작품으로 여러 문화의 아이콘과 숫자, 이미지들을 사용하여 21세기의 사회 속에서 발생하는 다양한 문화와 언어가 어떻게 충돌하고 교차하는지 보여줍니다. 특히 손으로 그려진 전통적인 인물과 기계로 프린트된 대중문화 스타, 숫자들은 전통문화가 기술의 영향으로 변화되어 새로운 문화로 재창조되는 현상을 조명하고 있습니다.

On the surfaces of traditional Chinese jars are depicted a woman in traditional Chinese dress and Barbie Doll, an Jesus Christ and John Lenon are overlapped. The body of jar is decorated with English and Cantonese words and binary numbers. Sin ying Ho is bilingual and has lived in China, Canada, and the US. Her experience is expressed with icons and numbers and images of various cultures on her works. They show the conflicts and cross-over of diverse cultures and languages that occur in the societies of the 21st century. In particular, the combination of historical human figures painted by hand and stars of pop culture and numbers printed by machine clearly show how advancement of technology has permitted the evolution of traditional culture into something modern.
